In
furtherance of their efforts to increase consciousness about corruption issues
in the work place, two of Nigeria’s leading law enforcement organizations, the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and the Nigeria Customs Service,
NCS will on Tuesday June 11, 2013 stage an anti- corruption walk to flag-off a
two-day anti-corruption sensitization programme
The
Customs Comptroller- General, Dikko
Inde Abdulahi, CFR and his EFCC counterpart, Ibrahim Lamorde will
kick off the walk at a formal ceremony that will witness the issuance of a
joint statement by the two chief executives.
The
sensitization programme which runs from June 11 to 20, 2013 is specially
designed to reinforce integrity and transparency among officers and men of the
Nigeria Customs Service. It will feature workshops on financial and economic
crimes at the headquarters and zonal commands of the NCS, to be conducted by
officers from the Enlightenment and Re-orientation Unit of the EFCC
