France Embassy Received Citizen Kidnapped By Ansaru Terrorrist Group In Kaduna

Diplomats from France Embassy last night in Kaduna received their abducted citizen who escaped from his abductors in Zaria.
The French citizen and engineer, Francis Collomp who was kidnapped by unknown gunmen suspected to be members of Ansaru islmamist terrorist group in northern Nigeria in Rimi area of Katsina State.
Mr. Collomp was kidnapped in December, 2012 but escaped from the kidnappers den last week in circumstances that the police in Kaduna described as “mysterious”.

Parading the freed French citizen, Commissioner of Police, Olufemi Adenaike said, “The gentleman in front of me was kidnapped in Rimi, Katsina State and last Thursday he regained his freedom. He was in Kano for nine months and two months ago, he was brought into Zaria and luckily, he was able to escape, got onto a motorcycle and went to the nearest police station which was Danmagaji in Zaria.

“My attention was called and I have brought him here for you to see. He is hale and hearty and he does not speak much of English so I wouldn’t want you to bother him and if you look around, you will see that representatives of the French Embassy are waiting to escort him back to France this night. We thank God that he has been released, so far we do not know who kidnapped him, and all those details will be worked out later.”

A senior security official in the convoy of the diplomats told SaharaReporters  that Mr. Collomp abductors took him to Kano state and other parts of Jigawa before they brought him to Zaria from where he escaped.

Mr. Collomp jetted out of Nigeria last night to rejoin his family France.---------BY  SAHARAREPORTERS
