Sokoto Businessman Abu Dankure Dies Two Weeks After Release By Kidnappers

SAHARAREPORTERS has reported that a
Sokoto-based multimillionaire, Alhaji Abu Dankure, who was kidnapped at a gunpoint by unknown kidnappers two weeks ago died in the early hours of today Friday at his residence.
A source confirmed to SaharaReporters that Alhaji Dankure died around three o'clock in the morning. Late Dankure had been battling the high blood pressure even before he was kidnapped.
Kidnappers in the state released Alhaji Dankure after the sum of fifty million naira was paid as ransom. A family source had told SaharaReporters that the family raised the sum of thirty million naira while the Sokoto state government paid the balance of twenty million naira to the kidnappers to secure his release.
Alhaji Dankure is a political associate of the Sokoto State Governor,  Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko .
He enjoyed the patronage of the Sokoto state government receiving juicy contracts while he was alive.
 Dankure  will be buried today according to Islamic right today around nine o'clock in the morning said a family source.
