Ojiri sets for Imo Guber Primaries, counsels delegates to use their votes wisely

Ken Ojiri, one of the leading governorship aspirants on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been cleared to take part in the party's primaries scheduled to hold on December 8, 2014.

Ojiri was cleared by the party’s Screening Committee in Enugu and collected his certificate of clearance from the committee Monday evening.

Speaking to journalists shortly after collecting the certificate, he said he is now fully prepared to take part in the primaries, stating that he is confident of victory having worked so hard to earn the support and confidence of party members.

He stated that the PDP must return to the seat of government in Imo State in 2015, adding that only a credible candidate in  his mould  that has political nerve can lead the party to victory.

Displaying his certificate of clearance, Ojiri debunked insinuations in some quarters that he was among some aspirants that will not be cleared, explaining that such propaganda was the handiwork of mischievous persons who are scared of his towering political profile.

He advised journalists to always cross check their facts before publication saying, they should not allow themselves to be deceived by desperate politicians who are bent on destroying the image of others all in the name of politics.

The Owerri North-born international financial expert-cum-politician once again assured that he has prepared a holistic economic blueprint that will tackle unemployment in Imo State and also create a viable and strong local economy for the State, stressing that Imo State is in dire need of a credible leader with the vision and focus to change the battered face of the Imo economy.

He maintained that poverty and frustration have increased in the State despite the much trumpeted rescue mission agenda, a development he said is highly regrettable and will remain the focus of his administration

While urging delegates to use their votes wisely, he counseled PDP members to remain focused and resolute before the next election, saying that only a united Imo PDP can achieve success for the party in all the elections.
