PDP Imo House Primaries: Ohakwe congratulates PDP winner




Following the concluded Imo State House of Assembly Primaries last week Saturday November 29, at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, State Secretariat, the outcome of the primary election has elicited joy and happiness to Imo State party stakeholders and members, including other aspirants who lost in the election because of the free and fair primary conducted by the party.
Speaking after losing to the eventual winner of the primary, Peter Okorie, Don Ohakwe, who contested against the winner of the primaries has congratulated Okorie in the spirit of sportsmanship and hailed him for victory recorded in the election.
Speaking to Newswatch Times on phone, immediately the conclusion of the election, Ohakwe praised Okorie for his gallant victory and urged him to represent the constituency well by giving the area quality and qualitative representation adding that he was sure that Okorie would emerge the winner in 2015, under the PDP umbrella.
According to the businessman and philanthropist, the primary has indicated and reaffirmed the position of the party in the state as a party with love, brotherhood, oneness and equity.
He described the election as free and fair and best ever in the history of the party in the state. He extols the leadership quality of the party’s leader, Senator Hope Uzodinma for his drive and magnetic leadership in maintaining order, peace and justice during the election and called on other leaders to emulate Senator Uzodinma.
 “I want praise the courage and determination of our leader, Hope Uzodinma for making sure that the election went well without rancour and bitterness. He showed quality leadership during the election”, he added. “Its exemplary and encouraging and I hope the gubernatorial primary election would be like that”.
