DAILY Police PRESS BULLETIN

 
(1)  COLLASPED MAST/DAMAGE OF A BUILDING:-  On 27/7/2014 at about 0030hours, the communication mast of Access Bank Plc located at Alaka Surulere fell and damaged the roof of a building beside it at Moshalasi Street, Iponri. The value of property destroyed is yet to be estimated. The incident is under investigation at Iponri Division.
 
(2)  FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT: - On 27/5/2014 at about 0620hours at Brewery Road in front of Brewery Gate, Iponri, a Mercedes Benz Truck with Reg. No. XL 663 LSR driven by one Abimbola Fadipe ‘m’ of No. 21, Salami Street, Akute Ogun State, hit one Kayode Martins. The victim was pushing a truck with Reg. No. FKJ 107 XB driven by one Olaleke Christian ‘m’ of No.12, Community School Road, Ibafo Ogun State that developed mechanical fault away from the road. Victim died on the spot and the corpse deposited at Isolo General Hospital Morgue for autopsy. Case is under investigation at Iponri Division.
 
(3)  SUDDEN AND UNNATURAL DEATH: - On 26/5/2014 at about 1000hours, an unidentified male corpse was found along Lekki-Epe Expressway by Golden Park Estate, Sangotedo. No sign of violence was found on the body and the corpse has been removed to Epe General Hospital for autopsy. The case is under investigation at Ajah Division.
 
(4)  ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERS/RECOVERY OF ARMS AND AMMUNITION:- On 25/5/2014 at about 2200hrs, policemen attached to Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) Ikeja arrested two armed robbers namely one Olatunji Oluwagbenga ‘m’ aged 29yrs old and Oyetunde Oluwatobiloba ‘m’ aged 23yrs old, both of no fixed address in their hideout at Ibafo Ogun State. The suspects confessed to various robbery operations in Lagos, Ogun and Ondo State. Items recovered from them are one locally made gun and two AK 47 magazines loaded with sixty rounds of 7.6mm caliber of live ammunition. Frantic effort is being made to arrest other fleeing members of the gang. The case is under investigation at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad Ikeja.
