Don Ohakwe commends Imo PDP leadership quality




Philanthropist and Lagos State based businessman, has commended the Imo State Chairman of People’s Democratic Party of Nigeria, PDP, for his quality leadership control in the state and described him as ‘Mr. Fixer’
Speaking on weekend in his Festac Town residence, Don Ohakwe said the role played by the Chairman of the state in Imo State in bringing back her past leaders who left the party angrily was of sterling quality, adding that with such person at the helm of the party in the state; that Imo PDP would bounce back to take its amiable position in the state.
 According to the financial expert, Chief Barrister Nnamdi Anyaehi’s leadership quality in steering the PDP ship in the state is enviable. He disclosed that with him, PDP has reverberated to its earlier position in the party politics of the state.
Ohakwe further disclosed that Anyaehi met a scattered state PDP on assumption of duty but within a spell of time, he has been able to fix together the fractured party. “PDP in the state has in the last four years battling normalcy in the party hierarchy following the abandoning of the party by its stalwarts which made them to lose the 2011, gubernatorial election to its rival party, APGA but Chief Nnamdi Anyaehi has done wonderfully well to bring peace to the fragile party”, Mr. Ohakwe said.
It would be recalled that the party witnessed mass exodus of her members to other rival parties but Anyaehi’s leadership of the party has regain its lost members back into the polity.
However, Ohakwe hailed the wisdom and political tactics employed by Anyaehi to restore normalcy to the state party structure.
Speaking further, Mr Ohakwe explained, that chief Anyaehi is a grassroots mobiliser and people’s leader, who has done well to move the PDP party in the state forward.
Acknowledging his ability to lead the party to victory in 2015, Ohakwe reiterated the fact that the state PDP boss is quintessential in the Imo State politics, adding that he has all it takes to revive the party again.
Mr Ohakwe who paid condolence visit to the PDP Chairman, chief Anyaehi during his father’s burial in Nkwerre, Orlu senatorial zone, condoled with the bridge-builder to bear the loss of his late father with fortitude, adding that senior Anyaehi was a great philanthropist and community leader who was never selfish but generous while he was alive and urged the PDP chairman to emulate the virtues of his late father.
Recently, big party stalwarts in the state played a massive return back to the party they helped nurtured to win election but jumped ship during the state party crises.
 Among others who have returned to the party are the former governor of Imo State, Chief Achike Udenwa to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Ohakwe, also a political analyst in the state, described Udenwa’s return to the party as a big plus to the party while praising the state chairman, Anyaehi as ‘Mr. Fixer.’
