Beginning
with the largest turnout of people ever recorded in its major event
, his holiness, Olumba -Olumba Obu played host to about 50,000 members of the
Brotherhood of the Cross and Star from all over the world . The attendance
was overwhelming , as members came from United Kingdom, United
State of America, Berlin, Togo, Ghana, Cote D- voire , South Africa , Liberia,
Malaysia ,Guinea Bussau and the rest of the world to witness this year’s event,
which was entitled; Salt of the Earth
It was a
week-long Programme that started on Monday April 14, 2014 and eventually, ended
on Monday April 21, 2014. The venue of the event, Daily Newswatch gathered, was
the World Headquarters of the BCS, located at number 34, Ambo Street Calabar.
It was filled to capacity, even as streams of people, particularly, members of
the brotherhood wore their white attire as they trooped into the venue in their
multitude, to savor the spiritual transformation of the father.
Armed
with unique hope of blessing, fulfillment and transformation of their lives,
they all gathered at the venue, with an unhindered patience. The daily
activities of this year Programme, it was revealed, were tailored towards
achieving a special purpose and objective. And that, the organizers noted were
to prepare the whole world for a great change
‘The
impact of the event wasn’t limited to Calabar or Nigeria alone; it affected the
whole world positively. And when the world is perfect, the lord’s kingdom will
reign supreme’. Pastor Prince Sunny Ekanem, the Lagos state Leader
Representative, told the reporter.
Many of
the representative of the father, that spoke to journalists at the event
discussed on various issues relating to the BCS, These issues, the reporter
learnt included: the purpose of the gathering, the beauty of the BCS kingdom on
earth, expectations and hope of the new kingdom, what the BCS is, and what it
is not and the general perception that made the member of the BCS the salt of
the earth.
Various
speakers at the event emphasized that the significance of the salt of the
earth event was to prepare the world for great change. The speakers were
Bishop Princely Ibeabuchi, the spokes man of the BCS, Bishop J. Goring, and
special Envoy for the European Union, Bishop James C. Ellerbe, and coordinating
Bishop for Africa, Bishop Samuel Akpan, Bishop of Nigeria and Chairman BCS TV,
Apostle Agbuagye, leader representative of the United Kingdom.
Other
speakers that spoke at the event were; Ambassador Uche Raymond, the
personal Assistant to the father, his holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, Bishop Joseph
Dike, Director of information, Bishop Sunny Ekanem Leader representative
of Lagos state, Deaconess Timi Digitemie, leader representative, Republic of
Liberia, Deaconess Jerry A White, Bishop Emmanuel Ekong (LR) middle East,
Wilson Inam President General of the True Christ Witness, Pastor Peter Ifeacho,
one of the 24 elders Bishop Isaac Eke, director of evangelism and the field
marshal, True Christ Witness Parkson Edjeketa,Evangelist Peter Olowu,and Mr.
Iorzua Shaagba, the Editor in Chief of the new king Trumpet, a newspaper
publication of the Brotherhood of the cross and star.
The
event, it was gathered began on Monday morning, starting with the devotion and
the flag off of the salt of the earth Programme, as well as the 13th
year coronation of the king of kings and the lord of lords. It later climaxed with
the interactive session by the international woman fellowship, where the theme
“Women as the salt of the family” was discussed.
Tuesday’s
Programme, the reporter learnt, was unique. Immediately after the morning
devotion, evangelism and choral performance, it was time for the international
men’s fellowship. The gathering, Daily Newswatch gathered offered the men the
rare opportunity to discuss extensively on the topic “entitled”, Men as the
head and salt of the family.
Besides,
on Wednesday, April 16th 2014, it was a day of glory as the 144,000
virgins shed their holy robes, as the spirited CNTM members enliven the
gathering.
The 12
Disciples’, includes the 24 elders, priests were robes in blue attire. On the
forth day, this was Thursday April 17th, 2014, the event started with a general
fasting by all members, as well as a public lecture. Friday April 18th
2014 will always remain indelible in their minds that were the day for the offering
of the temple sacrifice on the altar of purification.
The
programme, the reporter gathered, was meant to show gratitude to the lord, and
it climaxed with the mass visit to the BCS museum.
Saturday’s
event, it was revealed, was tagged “The Re-enactment of the covenant of the
salt, as well as the institution of the everlasting chain of help. The

He prayed
fervently for the gathering. Sunday, April 20, 2014, was the Easter Sunday. It
was an occasion of festivity as it offered members of the BSC, the opportunity
to re enact with God. The event for that day was shifted from the open ground
venue of the BSC, to the World Headquarter Bethel, popularly called the great
hall.
In his
sermon, his holiness charged the world, particularly members of the brotherhood
of the cross and start to show love, generously and tolerance to others in good
faith.
His
word;’’ emulate Christ, show love, make peace, show tolerance, forgive other,
quit sins, repent and go to the world to be the salt of the Earth. Never judge
anybody, don’t condemn anybody. God has manifested himself as the prince of
peace and the covenant of salt has made you the salt of the earth.
Father
Olumba said Monday, April 21, 2014; event was the outpouring of the Holy
Spirit. The father poured the Holy Spirit to the people in style.
Speaking
on the significance of the event, elder Bishop Princely Ibeabuchi told
reporters that this year salt of the earth event focused on both spiritual and
human aspect of the people, His words, “The Brotherhood of the Cross and Star
kingdom began in 1958 with barely 12 members, but today, members of the great
kingdom of God is over 14 million across the world.
This year
event marked the beginning of the transformation of the whole universe and the
fulfillment of God’s covenant to the people of his kingdom” continuing, he
added” Abraham had a covenant with God, it was the covenant of star, and when
God made the covenant, it was fulfilled.
Moses
also had a covenant of stone with God, in which he wrote the 10 commandments,
besides; the covenant of David was the covenant of salt. So what our lord his
holiness Olumba Olumba Obu had showcased with the week-long programme was to
re-enact the covenant of David and to shower member of this kingdom with
prayers, so that they could go to the world to become the salt of the world” he
said.
Expressing
his delight of the outcome of the event, Bishop Bassey Imowo, the co-chairman
of the salt of the earth event told reporters that about 6 sub-committee
members worked wholeheartedly to ensure the success of the event, “we are glad
that the whole event was proclaimed successful by the father, even from the
outset and we are all living witness of the tremendous success of the event.
Other
members of the central working committee for the event, he added, included
Senior Apostle Tom Inyang Akpan, the Head Publicity committee, Pastor Mike
Ntuk, the Secretary and Deaconess Tom Inyang Akpan, the Vice President of the
international women fellowship of the BCS.
Explaining
the beauty of the brotherhood kingdom, Pastor Prince Sunny Ekanem, the Lagos
state leader representative told journalists about the beliefs and doctrine of
the BCS, adding that the kingdom of the holiness is real and members of the
kingdom will certainly be the salt of the Earth “Hear him, We are excited that
the people are beginning to know the truth about the brotherhood of the Cross
and Star and the truth will certainly set them free’’, he affirmed.
Bishop
Joseph Dike, in his view, expressed optimism that this year salt of the earth
event was the manifestation of the lord’s kingdom on earth, regretting that the
whole world is where it’s, today because it has failed to be in tune with the
creator of leaven and earth.
