By next March election, Goodluck will be the President again- Prophet Ilongwo

Prophet Cletus Chukwuwuba Ilongwo, popularly known as Obo Oku Jesus, and oje Na muo Jesus (flame of fire), the seer, the vision holder of the Power of the Holy Spirit Evangelical Ministry, Abulado, near International Trade Fair on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, Lagos State ended his Ministry’s New Year service with miracles taking place. In this interview with Emeka Ibemere, he revealed that the postponed February 14 election was for the good of Nigerians. He also said the President Goodluck Jonathan is bound to win the election and that there wasn’t going to be war after the election, excerpts.   

Your week long activities for the year have come and gone, how did it go.

You know God is wonderful in everything. The programme went well, the way God designed it. Miracles took place and there were signs and wonders according to the way God designed it, so, I’m very happy that many children of God got their freedom; some received healing while others got their blessings and their destined gifts. So, the five to six days programme witnessed many miracles.

 Could you tell us what actually happened.

There were lots of confessions of some people who told the congregation that they were witches and wizards; many people under bondage were delivered, there was healing and those looking for the fruits of the womb gave testimonies for being conceived and so many miracles that took place during the six –days long programmes. So, I thank God for that.

Do you have message for Nigeria considering the election that is around the corner and the manner and way politicians are going about it. How did you see the postponement and what is to follow after that?

Thank God for this question because it’s the way God designed it and that is how God wants it. You know, if you have read my interviews, last year ago, you know nobody can change what God has designed for somebody or for something. Man proposes; God disposes. Just like I always say, President Goodluck Jonathan is good for Nigeria. He is the Nigerian President ordained by God and not by man. Kings are made by God and not by man, so the reason why the postponed the election was for the good of every Nigerian and the country.

 And they told us it’s for the security reasons which everybody must support. Our people use to say that a man whose house is under fire doesn’t chase rats, so to postpone the election is for the good of all of us.

Anybody who wants good for the country should know that that postponement is beneficial for all of us, because those who don’t want this government to succeed are the people who may not like the postponement.

But because this government was designed by God, there is nothing an enemy can do. I said it before that the election will be postponed before it was postponed and it happened. Some people wanted to use the earlier date to manipulate the election but God didn’t allow them. They don’t want this country to move forward. I have always said it that Goodluck cannot solve Nigerian problems alone, he needs the corporation of every Nigerian.

It’s not easy to be a leader, even ordinary Local Government Chairman is not easy, even a village chairman or market chairman, its not easy. We need to learn how to support our leaders, it’s not easy to be president of a country and anybody condemning him, I pity for that person. By the next election Goodluck will surely win again. God has sealed it; nobody can change it, no demon, or man can change it. Quote me, by next March election, Goodluck will be the President again. I’m hearing that some candidates are saying when they become President, Boko Haram will stop, price of dollars  will fall let me tell you , we are one Nigeria, if you know what you will do for Boko Haram activities to stop, why waiting to be voted in first before you stop it because you are a Nigerian. Stop it and when you stop it people will because of that vote you in.

For price of dollars to come down, or Boko Haram to stop it’s not the President’s fault. So if they say they will bring the price of dollars down let them do it now. Let them stop Boko Haram now or is it when the whole people die that you will stop it then is it dead body that will vote you into power. So is very wrong for them to use Boko Haram as campaign promises and strategies. They cannot deceive us again.

Politicians are flooding house of God and some of them who are Muslims are flooding Alphas to gain blessings and some of you men of God are having knocks and praises as a result of that, what is your advice to them because some of them are becoming partisans in their prophecies and predictions while saying God told them.

My brother, it’s a pity that those who have the calling of the God do not know why God called them or what he called them for. For example, I use myself as an example, if you are a politician and perhaps you want God to intervene in your life, you do what God wants. If you are a pastor and you joined politicians to do campaigns or starting campaigning for them, it’s wrong. But let me tell you something, its money that causes all these things.

 Love of money is the root of all those things that you are seeing and because of money, they refused to do what God has called them for and started doing another thing. It’s all about money and no other thing. So because of money, they start saying what God didn’t ask them to say especially when a politician has thrown money into their accounts.

As a pastor, or Reverend priest, you don’t have anything to do with politics, you can only say what God has asked you to say and pray for those aspiring to be leaders and allow them to go for campaign. As a man of God, why are joining a politician to go for rally or campaign for.  What happened to the prayer you are asked to pray for your leaders. Now most of them started chasing money and running around politicians and the genesis of it is money. God called men of God to safe souls, God called them to pray for their leaders and their country, God called them to deliver the children of God, he didn’t call them to be politicians or Governors and Vice Presidents and this is my advice to men of God in politics.

Many Nigerians are tensed up by the drums of war beating by the politicians and their supporters during this election, ‘this will happene and that will happened’, drumming and singing war songs when the opportunity has not giving itself out for war. What is your take on all these troubles, especially to the youths and political stakeholders?

Let me tell you something, this country called Nigeria is owned by God. God is a Nigerian, do you understand me. Now, hear me! Anybody talking of war is going to be disappointed because there is nothing like war in this election in this country. No matter how they have planned it, no matter how they have gathered, God is going to disorganise their plan; there is nothing like war. I want to advice Nigerians to keep calm and those who are praying for the country should continue to pray for her and the leader, President Goodluck Jonathan; nothing like war and if you are planning war in your country because you lose election which people did you intend to lead.

Goodluck to me is not a man who can plan for war against his people because he lose an election but those who are desperate for power but it cannot happene because there is hand of God in this country. Though I want to advice Nigerians to stay calm and for the youths, they shouldn’t allow politicians to use them. I want tell parents to advice their children to keep calm and refused to be used by the enemies of this country to use them as weapon of the country’s destruction. So, there is nothing like war taking place in this country. God can never destroy what he has created, we have experienced it and God can never allow it to take place twice here. On the day of election, let them come out en-mass and go and vote the person of their choice and go back to their houses.

What do you have for the youths so that cannot be manipulated to cause crises during the election?

The youths are the leaders of tomorrow and if you are youth, and somebody wants to use you to cause war, how can you be leader of tomorrow. If you are truly aspiring to be tomorrow’s leader, how can you go to war today, what you should be talking about is peace because to live in peace is better than to live in war. Life is better than death, a living dog is better than a dead lion, I always advice the youth to see the future and any youth that involves in war because of election is killing his future because in that process of war, you may lose your life and fail to be leader of tomorrow, so I want the youth to come and vote for their candidate and go to their homes without allowing anybody to influence them for war.

What if it’s your destiny to be president tomorrow and you die today because of an election war this year, what will you tell your God. So I want them to join hands and pray for the country and her leaders. The President needs the prayers of the youth and wants the growth and development of youth that is why he is empowering them to become responsible citizens.

Your ministry is fast growing and yet you are not allowing tithes and offering, how do you make up funds to cater for your missionary works.

  The bible said many are called but few are choosing, and we have different callings. When you have callings from God; God will surely provides for you. As you are here now as a journalist and God blesses you abundantly you have everything it takes to surprise God. If God blesses you today; you can buy 20 vehicles for the ministry, you can as well dash me one as somebody God uses to bless you; if you build 20 houses for yourself you decided to say let me build one for the man of God, who He uses to change your life. It depends how God respond to you, you can respond to us, that is how I live and that is how we survive here in this Ministry.

 First of all, you have to remove yourself from the love of money in whatever you are doing if you want to survive, because money causes many troubles. You spoil so many things when you put your mind on money before your calling. I depend on God alone and it’s only Him who can safe me. Any day Holy Spirit permits me to conduct tithe and offering, I will do that and not that I won’t do it but it will be at the direction of the Holy Spirit. This is because; there is time for everything as it is stated in the bible.
