The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has said it is looking to partner with Kano State Public Complaint and Anti Corruption Commission (KPCAC) in its fight against economic and financial crimes. Osita Nwajah, deputy director, Public Affair gave the indication Wednesday in Kano when he received the director, Kano State Public Complaint and Anti Corruption Commission Alhaji Umaru Idi at the Commission’s zonal office in Kano.
He said the Commission is willing to synergise
with groups and organisation that shares its vision of eradicating economic
crimes, including corruption.
Earlier Idi expressed
his organisation’s willingness to join forces with the EFCC in the fight against
corruption. In addition, he solicited the assistance of the foremost anti-graft
agency in improving the capacity of its staff through training.
KPCAC was established in 2008 by the Kano State Government to help improve transparency and accountability in the conduct of public affairs in the state.
