Following the altercation between the wife of the President, Dame Patience Jonathan, and Mrs. Grace Allabeh Ndirmbula
an Elder, Kibaku (Chibok) Area Development Association (KADA), Borno State, in the abducted saga of Chibok girls, the later has decided to own up on her role in the meeting held at Aso Villa.
The meeting was summoned on the orders of the First Lady in the reported abduction of the school girls to find a solution to the protracted missing students.
The disagreement started when two of the women representing Kibaku Area Development Association (KADA) and the Kibaku, were allegedly arrested for impersonation purportedly levelled against them by the First Lady. Explaining her role in the murky meeting, Grace Allabeh Ndirmbula disclosed that the two embattled ladies weren’t impersonators as alleged by the police.
Ndirmbula, disclosed that the duo of Mrs. Naomi Mutah Nyadar, and Mrs.  Saratu Angus Ndirpaya was nominated by her to attend the meeting which she stated that wasn’t conducive for her because of the distance of the meeting.
“To set the records straight and for the avoidance of any doubt and to the best of my knowledge, Mrs. Naomi Mutah Nyadar, along with Mrs. Saratu Angus Ndirpaya were nominated by me; Mrs. Grace Allabeh Ndirmbula to attend a meeting at which I could not possibly be present due to my distant domicile to represent Kibaku Area Development Association (KADA) and the Kibaku Community at large”, she added.
“Mrs. Naomi Mutah Nyadar did not and had no reason to impersonate Mrs. Grace. All we are asking is for all the good people of this great nation Nigeria and the international community at every level to put hands on deck to bring back our daughters”.
In her letter, entitled: ‘SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT ON THE ARREST AND PERSECUTION OF MRS GRACE BY MRS NAOMI MUTAH BY FIRST LADY, DAME PATIENCE JONATHAN’ which was made available to Daily Signpost Ndirmbula narrated how on Sunday May 4, 2014, she was informed about the meeting with the President’s wife at about 6:00 am by Kwapchi Bata, the Senior Special Assistant to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Borno on Media, requesting for a nomination of a worthy representative of Chibok (Kibaku), women in Abuja to attend an urgent meeting convened by Her Excellency the highly respected Wife of the President of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria at Aso Villa.
She said based on that notice, that she submitted the names of two worthy women namely, Mrs. Naomi Mutah Nyadar and Mrs. Saratu Angus Ndirpaya, to the Special Adviser to the Governor for enlistment to the meeting. She claimed that the woman representative of the Kibaku Area Development Association (KADA) was to join the Borno women contingent that was already in Abuja. Due to the suspension of flights from Maiduguri to Abuja and the long distance and hours it takes to travel to Abuja by road, and that it was impossible for her residing in Maiduguri to reach Abuja and attend the meeting as planned.
“Hence it was necessary that someone resident in
Abuja had to be there to represent the Chibok women and community at the meeting. And so I, Mrs. Grace Allabeh Ndirmbula submitted the names of two worthy women namely, Mrs. Naomi Mutah Nyadar and Mrs. Saratu Angus Ndirpaya, to the Special Adviser to the Governor for enlistment to the meeting. With the nomination concluded our two representatives joined the Borno Contingent at Asokoro to proceed to the Villa”, she said.
“The women were duly cleared and ushered in into Aso Villa to attend the meeting in their own names and had no need to impersonate me, Mrs. Grace who nominated neither them nor anyone else for that matter. The two women are bona
fide members and respected elders of KADA Women Wing of Chibok (Kibaku) Community in Abuja. We were so elated and full of high expectations that with the Wife of
the President convening such a meeting for the rescue of our
daughters, only good could come from it”.
According to her, the meeting turned sour when at about 3:00am, Monday morning they were awakened by distress phone calls telling them that their two representatives were yet to return to their families. She further said several minutes later on, that they were shocked to hear that Mrs. Naomi Mutah Nyadar was detained at Asokoro Police Station for alleged impersonation of Mrs. Grace, while Mrs. Saratu Angus was dropped at her home at about 3.20 am.
“We were also informed that they were called many names, insulted and humiliated at the meeting for the role they played in staging a peaceful protest in Abuja for the rescue of our abducted Chibok girls, going even to the extent of threatening to sack Mrs. Naomi Mutah from her employment”.
Ndirmbula further quipped that they were surprised to later learn that the resolution of the meeting was that no child was kidnapped.
“We also learnt that the meeting concluded that “…no child is missing in Borno State. What a meeting of mothers! What an evil turn of the tide! God save us”! It is so sad that the highest level meeting of Nigerian women stakeholders can deny the reality of the abduction of 276 girls from G.G.S.S. Chibok”, Ndirmbula stated.
“On record 53 girls have escaped through their own efforts and are already united with their families. It is also surprising to see that the declaration of the meeting is working at cross purposes with that of the President and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who has deployed thousands of security personnel and appointed a committee to work toward the rescue of the 223 remaining abducted Chibok girls. A house divided against itself?
According to her, the plight of the abducted girls, their frustrated and traumatized parents have become a matter of concern for the whole world and asked the government not to trivialize the matter.  “Peaceful protests for their rescue have been held not only in Abuja but in many states in Nigeria and other countries. Even the insurgents have declared through video clips that they have custody of the girls. Are all these highly placed people, organizations and world leaders wrong and do not know what they are doing”, she queried?
“Perhaps the Nigerian women stakeholders meeting in Aso Villa know more than meets the eye. We watch to see the unfolding saga”.
Continuing, the embattled women leader said, “The girls are daughters of all Nigerians and beyond. Putting blames on innocent protesters, parents, or the State Government will not help to rescue these helpless girls. The more time we waste on side issues instead of majoring on what matters, the more we extend their suffering and rescue more difficult”. “We are still praying and trusting the Most High God who rules in the affairs of men and nations to use whomever He wills, to bring our daughters back”, Ndirmbula prayed.
