DAILY PRESS BULLETIN of the Lgos State Police Command


(1)   ARREST OF SUSPECTED ROBBERS: - On 4/5/2014 at about 1630hours, some youths in Egbin area of Ijede arrested and handed over to the police at Ijede Division, two suspects with one wooden toy gun, two cutlasses, a sword and a knife. The suspects confessed that they came from Lekki with five others at large in a boat to rob a member of the community. Effort is being made to arrest the other fleeing suspects with their boat. The case is under investigation at State Criminal Investigation Department Yaba.
 
(2)   FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT:- On 4/5/2014 at about 1300hours along Yomi Alimu Street Off Isawo Road, Agric Ikorodu an Audi 80 Saloon Car with Reg. No. EL 28 APP driven by one Julius Okhenaiye ‘m’ of No.6, Isiaka Jimoh Street Oriokuta hit one Mariam Adekeye ‘f’ aged 17 years of No.15, Oladejo Street Oriokuta Agric Ikorodu. The victim was rushed to Bethel Private Hospital Agric Ikorodu where she later died, the corpse has been deposited at Ikorodu General Hospital Mortuary for autopsy. The case is under investigation at Owutu Division.
 
(3)            ARREST OF SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER:-  On 5/5/2014 at about 1030hours, policemen attached to Ipaja Division responded to a distress call at Adefemi Junction, Ipaja and rescued/arrested one Samsondeen Yusuf ‘m’ who was about to be lynched by an angry mob for attempting to kidnap one Salawat Sonubi ‘f’ aged 14 years old at Adelami Dada Street, Ipaja. Suspect is receiving treatment at Oke-Odo General Hospital.  The case is under investigation at State Criminal Investigation Department Yaba.
 
(4)   ARREST OF SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER -On 6/5/2014 at about 0645hours  one Prosper Kingsley ‘m’ aged 5 years old of No.23, Imosan Compound Idimu was allegedly abducted by one Mufutau Kosoko ‘m’ aged 34years old at the aforementioned address. Victim was rescued by neighbours while Mufutau Kosoko was also arrested. The case is under investigation at Idimu Division.
 
(5)   ARREST OF SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER: - On 6/5/2014 at about 1500hours policemen attached to Ikotun Division responded to a distress call at Ile-Iwe Bus Stop, Egbe. The policemen rescued and arrested one Chinava Nancy Okafor ‘f’ who was naked and about to be lynched by angry mob for attempting to kidnap a yet to be identified child. The woman admitted to be a kidnapper and the case is under investigation at State Criminal Investigation Department Yaba.
 
(6)   ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERS: - On 7/5/2014 about 0800hours policemen attached to Ijora Badia Division responded to a distress call at Ijora Seven-up under bridge, arrested one Mojeeb Mustapha ‘m’ and their gang leader one Tobi Babatunde ‘m’ (AKA SKORO) while others escaped. The suspects had shot into the air and robbed people of their belonging at the above mentioned bridge. Items recovered from the hoodlums are three (3) cutlasses, two empty cartridges, two arrows and broken glass blades used as missiles.
