INTENTION TO CONTEST 2015 IMO GOVERNORSHIP

As the countdown to 2015 governorship election ticks away, there has been a tidal wave of political activities which include declaration of intentions and subtle campaigns by individuals and groups. Mr. Kenneth Ikechukwu Ojiri (KO) is not by any standard an exception, especially as his credentials mark him as the man to beat.

In view of this, I wish to formally inform you, as a core group which makes great contribution in the overall political game that MR. KENNETH IKECHUKWU OJIRI is in the race to the Douglas House in 2015 under the platform of the People Democratic Party (PDP).

THE MAN, KEN

Mr. Ojiri, aged 45 hails from Owalla-Uratta in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State. He has made adequate preparations for leadership, having nursed the ambition for nearly a decade now. An unassuming and quintessential gentleman, he has intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and economically prepared himself.

He has also outstandingly distinguished himself internationally in his chosen field of endeavor. With 5 master's degrees obtained from world class universities in Europe, America and Africa, Ken has very rich and intimidating credentials in addition to possessing essential leadership qualities which include high personal standards- humility, personal responsibility, uprightness, ethical standard of right and wrong and team spirit. He always strives for excellence in all he does.

Ojiri is a chartered financial controller and tax expert, specializing in internal control systems, business re-engineering and international taxation. He has professional experience spanning about a decade and half in financial and tax services to multinational companies and revenue boards in Nigeria, the European Union and the United States of America.

KO, as he is fondly called, is the Chief Executive Officer, Darlko Consulting Limited, a Nigeria based management and tax consultancy firm. He is God-fearing, a highly respected community leader, peace advocate and renowned philanthropist who has engaged in programmes that have touched a great number of lives. They include youth development and empowerment, bail-the-sick, etc.

He is married to Genevieve Ijeoma, and they are blessed with four children.

Having identified unemployment as the greatest problem confronting governments in Nigeria, and understanding the fact that unemployment can only be solved through the development of a solid local economy built on industrial agriculture, Ken Ojiri intends to build a solid, thriving, sustainable economy predicated on industrial agriculture.

No doubt, this development will naturally attract foreign investors who would want to build associated industries that will wipe away unemployment and create a healthy, thriving and sustainable local economy for Imo State.

In summary, Ken Ojiri will use industrial agriculture namely, cropping, animal husbandry and fishery to build an enviable economy for Imo State. While doing this, he intends to maintain and improve on existing social infrastructure that will add value to the lives of Imo people.
